Letter from Jim…
With the support of our generous donors, our energetic volunteers, and our inspiring families, we courageously pressed toward what was NEXT in 2017. We welcomed new staff, engaged in strategic plans, and experienced growing pains. Our journey led us to an awe-inspiring vision into our future.
In 2017 the first winter retreat was launched. Over 60 participants and volunteers gathered for a weekend to “SEEK” Him. It was an amazing experience in finding refuge for our lives and embracing great friends for the journey.
Additionally, we celebrated our first national director’s retreat. It was refreshing to bring together the leadership of Lift and spend a few days praying, laughing, and envisioning the future.
The following pages will give you a glimpse into the accomplishments of 2017. We believe that 2018 is our year to EMERGE. Together we will show the world how big God can be when people find wholeness in Him. Thank you for your partnership with Lift Disability Network.
Inspiring families and individuals living with disabilities
to discover a new vision for their future
At Lift Disability Network, EMERGE means to be a force in someone’s life by empowering them to EMERGE from difficult adversity into a strong story of wholeness.
In 2018, Lift Disability Network intends to EMERGE whole, connected and strong! This year we will be working hard on a few key initiatives to ensure our ministry to families and individuals living with disability helps them to elevate life!
These areas include…
Enhancing Breakaway Family Retreats & Monthly Boost Programs
Developing a new family care program; “The Wholeness Circle Family Care Plan”
Growing our Staff Team
Opening the doors to new ministry space
Finally, emphasizing the Emergence of new volunteer teams is a vital part of our initiative. Therefore, we will prioritize energizing a vibrant Ambassador Team and an active Funding Team.
Be a part of EMERGE by volunteering, praying and donating.
Our Impact
In 2017, you once again made a difference in the lives of individuals and families living with disabilities. The participants, volunteers, corporate partners, and donors together elevated Lift Disability Network to another banner year. Through your efforts and involvement our organization experienced a 5% overall increase in its impact. This is the fourth consecutive year of increase and you made that happen.
While the true impact of an organization is not seen in its numbers, these outcomes represent lives changed. For every number there is a story. The bottom line is your engagement with Lift Disability Network continues to let individuals and families discover a new vision for their future. For that, we are truly grateful.
BOOST Monthly Event Program
In Florida and Missouri, members of our Lift family enjoy gathering together on a monthly basis! At these events, families and individuals with disabilities have an opportunity to experience fun, food, community and a themed event or recreational activity.
BREAKAWAY Summer Camp
Breakaway summer camp serves families and individuals impacted by disabilities of all types. It’s a four to five day experience during which each camper with a disability is partnered with a personal buddy for the entire camp experience. Camp provides opportunities for participants to feel loved for their uniqueness, to push the boundaries of their disability and to meet a community of people who are passionate about serving the disability community.
