Putting the Pieces Together

“To tell, or Not to Tell?  And When?” When you have a child with an invisible disability, it is always hard to decide when to have “The Talk.”  Many parents struggle with when to inform their child of his or her diagnosis, and what to say.  What will the children (or adults!) do with this information?  Will it affect their self esteem?  This talk will focus on how and when to discuss your child’s diagnosis with him or her, and how to keep that discussion and self discovery process going on throughout development and into adulthood.
