Missouri Director

Prior to joining the Lift Disability Network, Delaine served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at the Lindenwood University for 18 years. Most notably, while there, she researched, developed and implemented a successful Bachelor’s and Master’s in Exercise Science program.
Delaine’s wealth of experience makes her a key addition to the Lift Disability family. Her appointment represents our commitment to the individuals and families we serve and the challenges they face each and every day. Delaine is a passionate advocate for those affected by disabilities, as well as a strategic problem solver with great ideas and energy. The expansion of our programs and increased demands from those receiving our services led us to seek an addition to our team. We are deeply fortunate and grateful to have someone of Delaine’s character and commitment to fulfill this role.
Other roles Delaine held while at Lindenwood included the Assistant Professor in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, and Physical Education, Program Director of Exercise Science, faculty sponsor of student organizations, and Internship Coordinator for Exercise Science. Outside of teaching, she was the week-long Co-Director of High School Camp at Camp MoVal (Union, MO) for five years and currently is on the Property Board with Camp MoVal. Her life away from Lift consists of God, gardening, personal training, and enjoying nature. She and her husband, Ron, share six children and nine grandchildren.

Within minutes of getting out of the car a feeling of normalcy came over our family. As though we had been there for years.

Like a stone thrown into a pond, sometimes it seems God sends a ripple of blessings which begins with our saying “Yes.”  That happened to my husband and me when were asked if we would like to volunteer at Breakaway Camp. It was such a rewarding and joyful week!

There's a community created at Lift where you can enter at any level you want. All are accepted and welcomed. It's rewarding to be part of a ministry where everyone has something to offer.
