Development and Marketing Associate

Buzz attended Northwood University in Midland Michigan majoring in Advertising and Marketing. For 6 years in Chicago he worked for Harcourt Brace Jovanovich and Ziff Davis Publishing.
He moved to Central Florida in 1991 from the Finger Lakes region in upstate New York. He immediately started with Bellsouth Advertising and Publishing later bought by ATT. During those years he was a Major Accounts Representative handling some of the largest accounts in Central Florida. Buzz was a 7-time Presidents Club winner.  He retired after 20 plus years.
Stepping outside the box, Buzz became an AmeriCorps Volunteer working with a special group of students at Milwee Middle School. After a year of service, He found a brief home with Meister Media as a representative for Florida Grower Magazine.
Having been part of Northland Church since 1991 he is involved in many various ministries including Minister on Duty along with Congregational Services. He found his way to a Boost event and then to Winter Retreat for Lift Disability Network. This special group of people captured his heart. God has a purpose for all of us, and for Buzz, it was to get involved on a deeper level with the disability community. Buzz has been with Lift Disability Network since June 2018 where he is involved in Marketing and Fund Raising. What Buzz likes about Lift is loving individuals for themselves. Lift has allowed him to be part of a special community that most of us never really encounter. Buzz say, “The happiness I get to experience when we are all together is some of the most rewarding times of my life.”
Buzz has two children, Wesley and Jackie.  When not serving at Lift, Buzz loves to cook, spend time on the water, travel, time at the beach with his daughter, march madness and church.

Within minutes of getting out of the car a feeling of normalcy came over our family. As though we had been there for years.

Like a stone thrown into a pond, sometimes it seems God sends a ripple of blessings which begins with our saying “Yes.”  That happened to my husband and me when were asked if we would like to volunteer at Breakaway Camp. It was such a rewarding and joyful week!

There's a community created at Lift where you can enter at any level you want. All are accepted and welcomed. It's rewarding to be part of a ministry where everyone has something to offer.
