Lift
Leadership Network
stands as a national consortium of disability ministries
and leaders, presenting a unified evangelical voice
to the church and to the world. Lift Leadership, under
the global vision of Lift Disability Network, is committed
to Connecting, Advancing
and Nurturing Disability Ministry.

In 1988,
over 700 disability ministry workers gathered at Wheaton College,
Illinois, for the National Congress on the Church and the
Disabled. Representatives came from across the country to
learn fresh information, develop new skills and create a lasting
network.
During
this historic event, 30 key leaders in the Christian disability
community met to organize the Christian Council on Persons
with Disabilities (CCPD). These leaders recognized that uniting
under a shared vision and common goals would further advance
Christ’s gospel into the disability community.
TODAY
CCPD has launched Lift
Leadership Network as a continuum of
the vision to unite the disability community. Joining
the history of CCPD with the innovative spirit of Eleos
– The Care Network, Inc., Lift Leadership is endeavoring
to create a converging point for the disability community.
A place rich in hope transported through a technology
pipeline with a personal connection to real disability
life.
Through
conferences, curriculum, research material, and leadership
development Lift elevates disability ministry.
