Our Objects
To Love…
For the disability family, isolation is a major villain in the
plot of the family to capture a ‘better life.’ That is why Lift
Disability Network has purposed itself to lead in connecting the
disability community.
To Learn… By linking fellow pursuers of disability-life concepts, Lift believes education occurs more holistically and comprehensively. With two or more walking together families are strengthened, individuals enlightened and professionals become enhanced partners.
To Lead… Breaking through the wall of isolation begins with our voice. As individuals we are recognized when we speak up; be bold. Families are brought together through tender and thoughtful communication; be loving. Our community will be heard as we join our voices and cheer on our champions; sing together.
Our History
In November 2006 was Lift Disability Network launched. This program expansion and organizational restructure was designed by Eleos – The Care Network, Inc. to Elevate Life in the Disability Family.
The centerpiece in its menu of services is Lift Family Network. The Family Network aids the disability family with a suite of programs that include social services, mentoring, mental health & family counseling, social events, and spiritual development. Services are available to families in need without regard to creed/beliefs. Lift Learning Institute utilizes new media (state of the art) and print learning environments to teach emerging concepts in disability-life dynamics. The institute purposes to impact the family break-up rate by educating and empowering the disability family, professionals, and faith leaders. The newest member to this suite of elevating services is Lift Leadership Network. Combining its efforts with the legacy of CCPD (The Christian Council on Persons with Disabilities) the ministry network is committed to connecting leaders, ministries, and agencies that work in the disability community. There are already more than two hundred organizations associated with Lift Leadership Network across the country.
Lift Disability Network is a community where the disability family is embraced, encouraged, and empowered. An intersection where helplessness meets hopefulness… a place of healing for wounded souls… a connection to faith for a better life.
Lift is under the leadership of Jim Hukill, Executive Director, and his wife, Rhonette. To learn more about this couple click here
